Recreative marathon rules

Porečki delfin is a swimming challenge for everyone because it is important to participate, there are no winners and losers.

  • Bronze Dolphin – 1500 m – Anyone can do this !
  • Silver Dolphin – 3000 m – Well, not everyone can do this
  • Gold Dolphin – 5000 m – Who survives this one will live to tell the tale
  • You can choose the race
  • CHECK IN: from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
  • Start and finish of the swimming track is on the „Blue Flag“ Hotel Zagreb Beach
  • Start is at 9:30 h, and you can join in any time between 9:30 – 15:00 h
  • Changing rooms for participants are provided
  • The whole track is marked, secured and monitored
  • Gear allowed: mask, flippers, air-mattress, inflatable ring …
  • Swim-styles allowed: all known and as-yet-unknown
  • End: around 17:00 h
  • Participation Fee: 80 Croatian Kunas (11 EUR)
  • Every participant wins a T-Shirt, medal, fruit and a meal
  • Children under the age of 12 are obliged to swim companion
  • Blood pressure measurement is optional

Cro Cup Rules

Organizers: Club for Long-Distance Swimming and Sports Recreation “POREČ”
Track Length – 5000 m
Start and finish on the Beach Hotel Pical
Check in: 1 hour before start
Start at 9:00 h

  • Limited duration of the competition: two hours from the start signal
  • Changing rooms for participants are provided
  • This is an open competition so members of sports clubs as well as Croatian Long-Distance Swimming Association (HSDP) and to individuals with a license from HSDP for the CRO CUP competition. Other competitors may also participate but without points in Cro Cup  series.
  • Men and women compete at the same time and are ranked according to the categories they belong to, women separately and men separately. They will also be ranked together in an absolute category
  • It is only permitted to use swimsuits in accordance with FINA rules. Neoprene suits are not allowed as well as other suits that do not comply with FINA rules.
  • Points in the CRO-CUP (Croatian long-track swimming) will be awarded according to the Cup rulebook
  • The competition is in accordance with the „Statute of Long-Track Swimming“
  • Competitors younger than 18 are obliged to provide a Written Statement, signed by their parents or guardians – person(s) responsible. This is obligatory if they want to participate in the Cro-Cup.
  • The Competition Committee reserves the right to change and amend these rules, as well as to postpone or stop the race in case of bad weather or other unforeseen event
  • Participation fee: 80 kunas
  • Every participant wins a T-Shirt, fruit and a meal
