Swimmers swim along the trail that is marked all the way and while swimming. They have a beautiful view of the old town of Poreč and the escort and their loyal fans can follow them for most of the trail because it swims near the coast.

The "Porečki delfin" is a swimming challenge for everyone, because it doesn't matter who you reach the finish line, it is important to participate.

The Poreč Dolphin is a swimming challenge for everyone because it's not about reaching the finish line first, it's about participating.

Swimmers swim a course that is fully marked along the way, and while swimming, they have a beautiful view of Poreč's old town core, and their escort and their loyal fans can follow most of the course because it's close to the shore.

These features make this marathon interesting and attractive.
And from this year, we are adding a 500m swimming section.

Blue Dolphin – 500 m – for those who want to try...
Bronze Dolphin – 1500 m – Anyone can do it
Silver Dolphin – 3000 m – Well, not everyone can
Gold Dolphin – 5000 m – Whoever survives, will tell the tale...

Choice of section as desired
Transport from 1500m and 3000m back to shore is organized by speedboats for all participants!

The start is continuous from 08:30 to 14h. The course closes at 16:30h!

The early registration fee is €20, or €25 for late registration; online payment is possible or on the day of the Poreč Dolphin from 7 AM.

The registration fee includes: a T-shirt, a warm meal, water, fruit, and a medal!

Join us for the thrilling SUP competition that will take place on a 5000-meter course, divided into two 2500-meter laps.

The competition is open for various categories: open class with hard and soft boards.
Hard boards in the ELITE open class and inflatable boards in the RACE AIR OPEN class are joined by recreational and young competitors (15-18 years) in the FUN class. All boards are 12.6" in length.

Special awards await the oldest and youngest member of the competition – medals for demonstrated skill and sportsmanship. Don't miss this unique opportunity to test your paddling abilities and enjoy the dynamic atmosphere on the water!

Enjoy the challenge of AQUATON, a unique sports event that combines swimming and running. Competitors will start with 500 meters of swimming, followed by a 3000-meter running track.
The event is open to all in the ABSOLUTE, MALE, and FEMALE categories. All participants will have the opportunity to show their endurance and speed in the fight for valuable prizes – medals await the fastest and most persistent.

DATE: The 23rd Poreč Dolphin 2024; will be held on August 31, 2024. In case of bad weather, the start can be postponed for 3 hours from the planned start time or delayed by 24 hours.
VENUE: City of POREČ, Start from Valamar Parentino Beach.
PARKING: Parking for personal cars and buses is available at the VINDIJA PARKING LOT. Parking for participants is free.
SWIMMING DISTANCES: The entire length is marked with a swimming route, with finish boats anchored at intermediate points (1500m and 3000m), the finish for 500m/5000m is at the starting point.

You can swim in any style and with any swimming aids: fins, masks, swimming boards, air mattresses, etc.
REGISTRATION: Early registration fee is €20, until June 30.
Late registration fee is €25, from July 1.
Registration includes:
Medal (gold for 5000m, silver for 3000m, bronze for 1500m, blue for 500m)
Fruit, sugar, and water during and after the race
Warm meal
Secured swimming route for the entire distance (5000m)

METHOD OF REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION: Up to August 25, registrations can be made online at the website https://poreckidelfin.com or PRO TIME - Professional Timing; online payment.
On the day of the Poreč Dolphin, Saturday, August 31, registrations are possible from 07:00 AM until 1:30 PM, payment is cash only (€25).
Upon registration, participants receive a start number, a chip for time measurement, and a voucher for lunch.
Upon arrival at Valamar Parentino Beach, if there are any uncertainties, follow the signs or contact the info point.
We speak Croatian, Hungarian, English, German, Italian.
MEDICAL INSURANCE: All swimmers participate at their own risk. The organizer provides:
Medical team at the start/finish location
Medical advice to swimmers if needed at the start/finish and along the route
Blood pressure checks before the race / medical staff may disallow participation in case of poor blood pressure
Constant patrol by the rescue service along the route
By registering for the Poreč Dolphin, you accept that if medical staff at any point decide you cannot continue swimming due to your health condition, their decision is binding
By registering, you confirm that the organizer, the Sports Community of the City of Poreč, is not liable for injuries or health problems arising due to poor health condition, inadequate preparation, or undisclosed illnesses
By registering, you agree to follow/obey the medical staff's instructions during the event
In case of difficulties during swimming, stop and seek help if needed!
AGE RESTRICTIONS: There are no age restrictions; participants of all age groups can compete in the Poreč marathon.
CHILDREN UNDER 14 YEARS can participate only with an adult's accompaniment (parent, guardian).
Those under 18 must have parental consent to start.
It is recommended for older individuals, 70+, not to swim alone but with a companion.
START AND SWIMMING TIME: The start is from 08:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Blood pressure checks before the race / medical personnel may disallow participation in case of poor blood pressure
Swimming is interrupted / Time limit for 1500m at 2:45 PM - 3000m at 3:30 PM - 5000m at 4:30 PM
In case of deteriorating weather conditions, the organizer may terminate the swimming before the allotted time for the marathon.
PARTICIPANTS choose the length of the course they will swim.
Resting on a boat/craft and then continuing to swim to the next goal is possible.
WARDROBE / STORAGE, SHOWER, TOILET: The wardrobe tent is located immediately next to the registration area.
You can deposit your belongings in the wardrobe after registration and receiving your start number
The wardrobe is open from 07:15 AM to 5:00 PM
Public showers are located on the beach
Toilets are situated directly behind the wardrobe
TIME MEASUREMENT: Time measurement is conducted by the professional company Pro time.
Participants receive a start number and a wristband chip for time measurement upon registration.
The wristband chip must be returned after completing the swim.
The time will be visible online immediately after finishing the swim.
SAFETY ON THE COURSE: The course is marked with a swimming line along its entire length
Every approximately 250 meters, there is a rest boat.
At 1500m and 3000m, there are target boats where you can rest and refresh with water and grape sugar – glucose.
The rescue team constantly patrols the course
A medical team is available at the start/finish of the 5000m
Blood pressure control and medical advice are available before the start if needed.
CRO CUP/ VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIP OF CROATIA 5000m: For those who want real competitive swimming, we are restarting the CRO CUP competition and the veterans' championship of Croatia at 5000m
The race will be conducted according to the rules of the Croatian Long Distance Swimming Federation
